John Grotz summoned to appear at this office to answer a charge brought against him for violating an ordinance of the Mayor and Common Council of this Corporation for permitting his man James Grayson to hawk and sell bread & cakes in the streets contrary to said ordinance, acknowledged the charge; whereupon judgment was awarded against him for $4 & costs, being for penalties occurred in two instances on the 29th & 30th past. Execution suspended.
